The Academy of Applied Statistical Science (AASS) at East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai, China is organizing The Second International Workshop on BFF (Bayesian, Fiducial and Frequentist) Inference and Statistical Foundations during July 4-5, 2015. This is part of the annual workshop series of AASS, which was created to be a national center for statistics, at international standards, as part of ECNU’s long term plan for development in crucial areas of science. The workshop will also be co-sponsored by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis and its Objective Bayes Section.

The workshop will be held at Huashen Academy Exchange Center (Yifu Building), No. 3663 Zhongshan North Road, Putuo District, Shanghai 200063, China (Phone: 086-21-62601058, near both Changfeng Park and Zhongshan Park.)

The objectives of the workshop are to facilitate the exchange of recent research developments in Bayesian, fiducial and frequentist methodology, concerning statistical foundations for objective scientific inference, to create opportunities for involvement of new researchers in the area, and to establish new collaborations and partnerships that will channel efforts into new directions for further study. The workshop will follow the planned style for workshops at AASS; workshops are designed to simultaneously carry out the missions of education, presentation of the latest research developments, and establishment of an environment conducive to collaboration. To this end, there will be three distinctive types of sessions at the workshop:

  • . Sessions of invited talks and discussions or research panel discussions all in the mornings.
  • . Working groups in the afternoon
  • . Research working groups  in the afternoons to formulate and initiate research developments.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the workshop.
